Main purpose of position

This role is fundamental in the influence, quality assurance and quality improvement of the Academy Manager and Sports Coach within Sports Academy Education Hubs, especially within the following key delivery areas:

  • Learner recruitment activity.
  • Delivery of high quality, impactful Sports Enrichment linked to education outcomes and experience.
  • Delivery of expected Learner Experience responsibilities including supporting learners at risk. (underperforming, high needs etc.), work experience, UCAS, bursary support and ID Passport support.
  • Management of ‘competitive programme’.
  • Key H&S and Safeguarding responsibilities in line with SCL Policy.

This includes the delivery of quality deep dives and other quality assurance mechanisms to ‘measure’ performance standards followed by the development and implementation of effective, innovative quality improvement practice which rapidly improves the consistency of our delivery team’s quality of education.

In addition, this role with be critical for the development of a Sports Enrichment ‘Best Practice Framework’ linked to the SCL Way as well as support Academy Managers ‘define’ expected performance standards for each of the above delivery areas.

Fundamentally, this role is a driver of ‘change so that higher volumes of learners receive an exceptional learning experience in order for them to stand out from the crowd, enjoy their SCL programme and to ensure that they are fully prepared for their next steps.
