Main Purpose of Position
The Construction Tutor will be responsible for all aspects of classroom delivery, delivering a range of regulated and non-regulated learning sessions with a real focus on preparation for employment and progression. The Tutor will be a dynamic individual who is able to develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, while motivating them, raising aspirations, and maintaining standards of effort and conduct.
They will effectively manage the classroom and learners, to ensure learners are making progress through the programme, against specific qualifications and learning aims ensuring adequate support and stretching and challenging activities, whilst also supporting personal objectives such as confidence and career progression. Within the role, you will be dealing with challenging behaviour at times and working with some of the most vulnerable young learners.
This role is for both practical and classroom-based delivery spanning a full academic year, delivery of Multi Skills L1 BTEC to include health and safety in the workplace as well as bespoke nonregulated sessions to include but not limited to Career mapping, self-motivation, Equity and diversity and British Values.
