Main Purpose of Position

The Vocational Tutor will be responsible for the planning, resourcing and delivery of the vocational subjects which form part of the Study Programme for 16–18-year-olds. The Vocational Tutor will be a dynamic individual who is able to develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, while motivating them and maintaining standards of effort and conduct. Within the role, you will be dealing with challenging behaviour at times and working with some of the most vulnerable young learners.

They will effectively manage the classroom and learners, to ensure learners are making progress through the programme, against specific qualifications ensuring adequate support and stretching and challenging activities, whilst also supporting personal objectives such as confidence and career progression.

This role is for classroom-based delivery of subjects to include but not limited to Level 2 Diploma/Certificates in Health and Social Care and Customer Service.
